Because I am IN CHRIST...

I am the daughter of the King of Kings!
I am redeemed by Christ's blood,
I am not a slave to sin anymore.
I am forgiven of all my sins--
my past, present and future sins.
I need not be burdened with guilt and shame anymore.
All these are mine and I know it -- 
because the Holy Spirit is my guarantee.

From hereon I will only listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit
who tells me only what is true.
I will refuse to listen to the voice
of the accuser of brethren-- Satan.
I will not listen to the voice of the world system,
neither to the voice of my sin nature.
You see, I am chosen by the Father, purchased by the Son,
and sealed by the Holy Spirit.

- For keeping me safe when driving to work. I almost hit a post when turning towards the hospital. I am glad the car stopped when the tire hit the curb. 
- For our new bed frame that was delivered this morning.

- I was able to got to my new OB-GYN. He is doubtful that I am pregnant but still thankful that they are going to do some tests to find out what's wrong. 
- For my health insurance. I am thankful that I can go to the doctor when I need to. I didn't have that opportunity 5 years ago.

- For the chance to talk to my high school friend, Elena.  It does something good to my heart when I reconnect with my friends.

- For my job despite not getting all my hours. Praying for a new job or prn job.

- For the strength to get up and go to work even when I don't feel like it.

- For giving me patience to stay when all i wanted to do is to walk out and give up.

- I stated reading a book. I hope to be consistent and read at least a book every month to improve my vocabulary and grammar.

- For God's love that drives out all fears.

- For giving me the strength to see all my patients even when all I wanted to do is to lay in bed and relax.

- For Friday nights! I can just relax tonight and just do chores tomorrow.

- It feels comfortable at home tonight.

- For our new furnace. We have been living in the cold for  a week now. I am glad that the technician is here tonight. I won't need the space heater anymore!

- I have worked for more than 7 hours. We have been slow lately and I'm thankful that my paycheck will look better!

- For the chance to talk to my brother via Skype while I was making lasagna. I pray that he will be able to come here this year!

- For the chance to spend time with God. I was able to meditate on God's forgiveness and mercy. Thank you, Lord for forgiving all my sins.
- For the chance to set goals for this year. I flunked last year but I am hoping to do better this year.
- For the chance to just rest today.  Well, it's the Sabbath!

- For God's blessings and provision. I am thankful that I am able to buy shoes whenever I need to. I remember when I was still in the Philippines and I was broke. I couldn't even buy a pair of shoes! God gave me whatever I needed through friends who gave me things without me telling them my needs.
- I was able to sleep in! i just feel so tired!

- Thankful it's Friday! I was able to do most chores so that I will have and easy weekend.
- For the chance to talk to my high school friends ( Elena & Nelia)  through Skype!
- I got to talk to my parents, too! Thank you, Lord, for the technology!

- A technician came to check our furnace. We need a new one! Thankful that we found out  something is wrong before something worse happens.
- Doctor's office called to inform me that all my labs results were normal.

- I was able to go to the doctor for a check-up. Thankful for my insurance that I can go to the doctor when I need to. It reminds me of my life back home when I couldn't even afford to go to the doctor or even to the dentist.

- God's grace and mercy in times of trials. A patient was rude and verbally abusive to me. Thank you, Lord, that I decided to walk away instead of arguing with the patient even when she tried to lie about the incident.

- I was able to clean up the kitchen and do some laundry when I got home.

- I had time to walk 30 minutes on the treadmill.

- I have time to write down my blessings!

- I started reading My Utmost for His Highest. I pray that I will be able to consistently read this book and meditate before starting my day.

- Hubby and I went to church and movie date after. We watched Les Miserables and we loved it! You MUST watch it. ;)

- I made Leche flan for the first time. I will post the recipe I used next time.

- Napped with hubby for 2 hours!! I love lazy Sunday afternoons.

- I was able to make my own laundry detergent c/o howdoesshe. I am hoping to save money by making my own laundry detergent.

- I was able to clean up our bedroom and fold clothes.

- I was able to  talk with my mom thru skype

- I am off today! My holiday off was approved.

- I was able to nap for 2 hours!!

- I had a chance to hang out with Filipinos I met recently. The food was amazing! I got to eat pinakbet and other Filipino foods again. Yay!

- Another 30 minutes walk on the treadmill!

- I was able to talk to one of my missionary friends. It does something good to my heart whenever I get to talk to friends I look up to.

- I was able to walk on my treadmill for 30 minutes!! I am planning on doing that everyday.

- I have time to write down my blessings today.

- My husband started my car before going to work. He started doing it yesterday.

- I was able to work for almost 3 hours at my PRN job. Extra money!

New Year, New beginnings!

I love New Year's day because it reminds me that I have new beginnings. I am grateful for all the blessings we received this year and looking forward to what's in store for us next year. 

Every new year, I fill out my personal goals and planning worksheet which was given to me by a friend  (I wish I can share them with you but I have to ask for permission first). I usually write my life goal which is to know and love Jesus more and to make Him known. I also write the things I am believing God for this coming year. My prayers were answered in 2012. I prayed that God blesses us with a house and a baby. I got pregnant before May and bought our first house in May. Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage but I am still thankful. "The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised.” Job 1:21

For 2013, I will continue to ask God to bless us with a child. While I am waiting, I will keep myself busy in striving to be a better wife. I will be sharing with everyone my adventures this year. I will also try thank God daily for all the blessings He gives. This is my purpose for starting this blog. It is going to be more of a journal so please try not to judge. ;)

Sweet Jesus, thank you for answering one of my prayers this year which is to be reconciled to my friend who I hurt because of my immaturity 10 years ago. You are, indeed, my Redeemer and Restorer. Thank you for giving us the chance to renew our friendship.
